Job summary

Minor Hotels’ Oaks Cairns Hotel is seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to lead the Front Office team on a full-time basis. You will welcome guests, oversee bookings, and drive exceptional service during a 38-hour week at 59/63 Esplanade, Cairns City.

The role requires at least 2 years in a supervisory hotel environment, strong people management and communication skills, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory hotel/resort environment
• Exceptional people management and leadership abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding customer service attitude and guest-oriented approach
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends/public holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding guest welcoming experience and maintain front office standards
• Meet guests on arrival and assist with room check-in/check-out
• Maintain accurate bookings and guest accounts; deliver timely daily reports
• Guide and support the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Manage team roster to meet budgets and support recruitment when needed
• Address guest complaints promptly and professionally
