Job summary

Cairns Central YHA in Cairns City, Australia is seeking a proactive Guest Services All Rounder to join the team. This part-time role (minimum 15 hours per week) covers Reception, Housekeeping, Guest Activities/Events and Food & Beverage, with opportunities to develop toward hospitality careers across Australia.

You will need exceptional interpersonal skills, experience in customer service or hospitality, and the ability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• You will need exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar role.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and reservations/POS systems.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights and weekends.
• RSA certification is essential; First Aid is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reception: welcome guests and assist with check-in.
• Guest Activities/Events support.
• Housekeeping: maintain rooms and common areas.
• Food & Beverage duties including coffee making.
• Health & safety compliance with YHA policies.
