Job summary

dnata catering & retail Australia is seeking a Group Accountant to oversee month-end close, financial reporting, compliance and audit, reporting to the Financial Controller. You’ll provide insights, drive improvements and support budgeting and forecasting.

As a 2IC you will mentor the Finance team, partner with operations, and enhance processes, controls and automation while ensuring IFRS compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex, high-volume or multi-site environment.
• Strong technical accounting capability and a solid understanding of IFRS.
• Proven experience across month-end, financial reporting, audit and statutory compliance.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability.

Responsibilities

About the role

Join dnata catering & retail Australia as our newest Group Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll oversee financial reporting, month-end, compliance, audit and taxation, while providing commercial insights and driving continuous improvement.

As a trusted 2IC, you will also support the Financial Controller in mentoring and developing the Finance team and building technical capability. Responsibilities include:

About you

You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will bring:

• Significant experience in a complex, high-volume or multi-site environment


• Strong technical accounting capability and a solid understanding of IFRS


• Proven experience across month-end, financial reporting, audit and statutory compliance


• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning


• Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes


• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability


• A continuous improvement mindset, with a strong eye for detail and a practical approach to solving problems
