Job summary

dnata catering & retail Australia is seeking a Group Accountant to oversee financial reporting, month-end processes, compliance and audit, reporting to the Financial Controller.

You will lead a high‑performing finance team, drive continuous improvement, partner with operations for cost control, and ensure IFRS compliance and robust financial systems.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a complex, high-volume or multi-site environment.
• Strong technical accounting capability and IFRS understanding.
• Proven experience across month-end, financial reporting, audit and statutory compliance.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability.
• Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end month-end close and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Deliver financial reporting, variance analysis and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and oversee reconciliations and journals.
• Manage statutory compliance, taxation and audit requirements.

About The Role

Join dnata catering & retail Australia as our newest Group Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll oversee financial reporting, month-end, compliance, audit and taxation, while providing commercial insights and driving continuous improvement.

About You

You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will bring:

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
• Significant experience in a complex, high-volume or multi-site environment
• Strong technical accounting capability and a solid understanding of IFRS
• Proven experience across month-end, financial reporting, audit and statutory compliance
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning
• Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
• A continuous improvement mindset, with a strong eye for detail and a practical approach to solving problems
