Job summary

dnata catering & retail in Sydney is seeking a Catering Attendant to join our fast-paced operations. You will work in a collaborative kitchen environment, ensuring flights are stocked and ready for service aboard major airlines.

This full-time position requires flexibility for shifts, including weekends/public holidays, and a strong emphasis on safety, hygiene and teamwork. Training and career progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Full ongoing working rights in Australia.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks, incl. National Police Check and medical assessment.
• Availability to work shifts (including weekends and public holidays) and the ability to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in chilled and refrigerated environments
• Strong commitment to safety, hygiene and compliance
• Team-first mindset with a willingness to support others
• Good communication and basic numeracy skills
• Food hygiene and HACCP knowledge (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Disassembling airline carts and loading equipment into commercial dishwashers.
• Unloading dishwashers and ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.
• Reassembling airline carts and distributing stock to operational work areas.
• Handling food waste, general waste, and bonded goods in line with company procedures.

A day in the life of a Catering Attendant

Join our Sydney team as a full-time Catering Attendant and play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience for passengers onboard some of the world’s top airlines. Working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, you will be part of a collaborative team ensuring flights are fully stocked and ready for service.

As part of our Operations team, you will be:

• Disassembling airline carts and loading equipment into commercial dishwashers.
• Unloading dishwashers and ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.
• Reassembling airline carts and distributing stock to operational work areas.
• Handling food waste, general waste, and bonded goods in line with company procedures.
• Performing manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying, throughout the shift.
• Following all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety policies, including HACCP, IFSA, and QSAI standards.
