Job summary

Palm Lake Resort Truganina is seeking a committed Groundskeeper to maintain our resort grounds to a high standard. This full-time role runs 38 hours per week, 6am–6pm, Monday to Friday, performing lawn and garden care to ensure safety, cleanliness and visual appeal for residents year-round.

You will handle hedges and trees, mowing, weed control, planting, and irrigation tasks, ensuring all outdoor facilities remain neat and well-presented.

Qualifications

• Valid C class driver’s licence required.
• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role.
• Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous.
• ACDC chemical licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Hedge & tree trimming.
• Mowing, edging & whipper snipping.
• Control weeds and pests using herbicides.
• Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation.
• Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including irrigation maintenance.
• Oversee outdoor presentation of facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance.
• Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order.

Position Details

We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Truganina team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition.

This is a Full Time role, working 38 hours per week between 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday in a hands-on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year-round.

• Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
• Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order

To excel in this role, you will bring

• A \"C\" class drivers licence;
• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role;
• Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous;

• Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
• Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying.
• Initiative & the ability to work with limited supervision.
