Job summary

TAFE Queensland invites applications for a permanent full-time General Hand and Grounds role at Loganlea Campus. You will contribute to the maintenance of grounds and gardens while supporting teaching programs and ensuring safe, efficient facilities operations.

The role reports to the Campus Site Coordinator and offers a salary range of $63,947.46 to $69,097.47 gross per year plus 12.75% superannuation, with benefits including salary packaging, wellbeing programs, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current C Class Drivers Licence.
• Possession of ACDC license or willingness to attain one.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is required and issued before employment.
• Audiometric testing required within 3 months of commencement and ongoing as per WHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Promote and model the organisation's values in daily work: Safety First, Working Together, Focus on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
• Assist in moving, setting up and arranging furniture and other items for teaching programs.
• Assist in movement, relocation, and delivery of equipment and materials for displays and promotions.
• Ensure tools, equipment and machinery are maintained in safe working condition and carry out minor repairs as needed.
• Report workplace safety issues to the Campus Site Coordinator; maintain grounds, gardens and surrounds to a high standard.
• Support other facilities staff as required and adhere to policies and procedures.
