Job summary

Perth Airport Pty Ltd in Western Australia is seeking an Airfield Coordination Officer to support the safe planning, coordination and assurance of airfield works across Perth Airport, working with internal teams, contractors, regulators and stakeholders to ensure airside activities are planned and delivered in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Aerodrome Reporting Officer or Work Safety Officer qualification is desired, aviation experience preferred.
• CASA radio licence and a current Australian driver's licence are required.
• Sound understanding of workplace safety and health applications in operations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and preparing clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop airfield works plans with stakeholders and teams.
• Review airside documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support runway maintenance planning, closures and limits.
• Conduct inspections and oversight of works for safety compliance.
• Monitor contract Work Safety Officers and coordinate communications with stakeholders.
• Assist with investigations, incident reporting and corrective actions.

We are on the lookout for an Airfield Coordination Officer to support the safe planning, coordination and assurance of airfield works across Perth Airport. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, regulators and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure airside activities are effectively planned, communicated and delivered in line with regulatory requirements and operational priorities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

About the Role

• Coordinate and develop airfield works plans in consultation with stakeholders, contractors and operational teams.
• Review airside works documentation, including ASTO2 forms and Method of Works Plans, to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Support the planning and coordination of runway maintenance activities, closures and operational restrictions.
• Conduct inspections and oversight activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved plans and safety requirements.
• Monitor and support the performance, scheduling and administration of contract Work Safety Officers.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with stakeholders regarding planned works, operational impacts and access requirements.
• Assist with airfield works investigations, incident reporting and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement across airfield operations and works management.

About You

• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Aerodrome Reporting Officer or Work Safety Officer qualification, with aviation industry experience highly regarded.
• Possess a CASA radio licence and a current Australian driver's licence.
• Have a sound understanding of workplace safety and health requirements and their application within operational environments.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills and confidence working with operational systems, documentation and reporting tools.
• Bring experience conducting incident investigations and preparing clear, accurate reports.
• Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring the right information is shared at the right time.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities while remaining calm and focused under pressure.
• Build positive working relationships through integrity, accountability and collaboration, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
