Job summary

Petstock Tamworth is seeking an experienced dog groomer to provide full grooming services for a variety of breeds and to create a positive grooming experience for all clients and their dogs.

You will coordinate with the Store Manager, manage bookings, assist the shop floor team, and uphold a high standard of salon presentation and safety. A grooming qualification is preferred and you should be comfortable handling live animals.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional dog grooming.
• Qualification in Grooming preferred.
• Ability to embed strong safety practices throughout the salon and store.
• Good knowledge of breed clips and grooming styles.
• Physically fit with ability to lift heavy animals.
• Experience handling live animals.
• Knowledge of zoonotic and skin diseases and how to identify them.
• Proven ability to exceed grooming KPIs through quality care and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide full grooming services for a variety of breeds (bath, dry, nails, brush, clip).
• Deliver a positive, memorable grooming experience for customers and their dogs.
• Coordinate the grooming salon and clients with the Store Manager.
• Make client bookings and manage schedule.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide full grooming services for a variety of breeds, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, combing and both generic and breed-specific clipping
• Provide a positive and memorable grooming experience for all customers and their dogs
• Coordinate the grooming salon and clients in conjunction with the Store Manager
• Make client bookings
• Assist store shop floor team when required, providing exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Maintain a consistently high standard of salon presentation and oversee stock management
• Work with the Store Manager and team to ensure member program targets and expectations are consistently met
• Proactively support local marketing opportunities and recruitment referral programs
• Work with the team to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Maintain a strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team
