Job summary

Powercor is seeking a dedicated professional to manage planned access to electricity networks across distribution and transmission. The role includes assessing applications, prioritising access, and producing precise switching instructions for safe operations.

The position provides operational advice to internal teams and external authorities, supporting process improvements and performance enhancements within a collaborative environment. Hybrid work options and generous leave are available.

Qualifications

Experience in processing and planning access applications including writing switching instructions for distribution systems.
Strong understanding of the electrical network (CBD, urban/regional, transmission, sub-transmission, HV/LV, protection schemes).
Familiarity with company operating procedures, outage planning, and control room processes.

Responsibilities

Review and accept network access requests to avoid conflicts and optimise resources.
Produce accurate, clear switching instructions.
Assist in training planners and reviewing group documentation.
Ensure outages comply with regulatory requirements and procedures.
Support improvements in processes and performance.
Contribute to high-quality work practices and feedback.
