Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Site Engineer to deliver a key stage of the greenfield The Wave rail project on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. You will report to the Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer, plan short-term programs, track costs, and ensure safety and quality on site.

You will collaborate with subcontractors, the client and local authorities, negotiating subcontract and supply agreements while building strong relationships and developing technical and commercial skills on a hands-on

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Valid C class driver licence.
• Valid Construction Safety Awareness Card.
• Desirable: experience in a construction or engineering setting.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan short-term programs and resources for an assigned area of the works.
• Monitor project costs and productivity to protect margins and meet reporting deadlines.
• Support contract delivery and help negotiate subcontract and supply agreements.
• Lead by example on safety and help prepare Safe Work Method Statements.
• Prepare inspection test reports and close out non-conformances and defects.
• Build strong relationships with the client, subcontractors and local government authorities.
