GI and Co Pty Ltd is a Richmond-based Greek restaurant seeking a reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare quality meals, maintain food safety standards and support smooth kitchen operations.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and 1–3 years of commercial kitchen experience, with strong teamwork and time-management skills. We offer a full-time position with opportunities to grow culinary skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect food ingredients to ensure freshness and quality standards.
• Prepare and cook a range of dishes while maintaining consistent taste and presentation.
• Monitor and adjust cooking equipment temperatures, including ovens, grills and stovetops.
• Add appropriate seasonings and ingredients to enhance the flavour of meals.
• Serve food in suitable portions, ensuring attractive presentation with sauces and garnishes.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and refrigeration of food products in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Prepare and modify dishes to accommodate specific dietary needs and customer preferences.
• Contribute to menu development and assist in calculating food quantities and ingredient requirements.
• Provide assistance and guidance to other kitchen team members and trainees as needed.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organised while following established hygiene and food safety procedures.
