Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking an early career Systems Engineer to join the SRGBAD Support Program at Mawson Lakes in Adelaide. The role offers cross-disciplinary exposure within a dynamic defence environment and a chance to grow through hands-on projects.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute to system lifecycle activities, and develop capability upgrades for NASAMS. Eligible NV1 clearance is preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, software or related complex environments desirable.
• Familiarity with systems engineering principles and MBSE desirable.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to investigate technical problems.
• Assist with design proposals, presentations, reports and stakeholder briefings.
• Assist planning and execution of integration, verification and validation activities.
• Support development and maintenance of systems engineering artefacts (requirements, design docs, verification evidence).
• Contribute to risk assessments, system reviews and engineering assurance activities.
• Contribute to System Safety activities, including hazard analysis.
• Support configuration management and technical data management activities.
• Maintain awareness of technical developments relevant to air defence capability.
