Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to join our Mawson Lakes team in South Australia. You will help develop and sustain leading-edge defence capabilities by gathering requirements, contributing to architecture, and assisting in testing within a hybrid work model.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1/NV2). The role offers flexible work arrangements and a pathway to grow technical and defence-domain expertise.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years’ experience in Systems Engineering activities prior to this role.
• Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
• Basic familiarity with military systems or related defence technologies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and analysing system requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the development of requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to the creation of system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure system requirements are met.
• Aid in the integration of hardware and software components into the system.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to implement system solutions and configurations.
• Participate in testing activities, including functional, integration, and system testing.
