Job summary

CSE Crosscom in Melbourne is seeking an analytical Sales Operations Analyst to turn data into insights that drive smarter commercial decisions. You will work with Sales, Finance, IT and Operations to build reports, dashboards and forecasting models while exploring AI to streamline processes.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of analytics experience, strong Excel and a curiosity about AI, with a proactive, collaborative mindset and a focus on data quality.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of practical experience in analytics, reporting, sales support, business operations or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in building reports, dashboards and performance measures.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and how it can improve reporting, analytics and everyday business processes.
• Analytical mindset and the confidence to question data, investigate anomalies and solve problems.
• Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for accurate, reliable data.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
• A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn and an interest in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and uncover insights: Explore sales, pipeline, revenue, margin and customer data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Build reports and dashboards: Develop and maintain reporting that helps our teams understand performance and make informed decisions.
• Put AI to work: Explore and apply AI tools to streamline reporting, automate repetitive tasks and improve business processes.
• Support forecasting: Help analyse sales pipelines, historical performance and forecasting data to improve visibility and accuracy.
• Improve CRM and data quality: Keep information accurate, investigate inconsistencies and help our teams get more value from their systems.
• Find smarter ways of working: Identify bottlenecks, duplicated effort and inefficient processes, then recommend practical improvements.
• Collaborate across the business: Work with stakeholders across Sales and Finance to answer questions, solve problems and turn analysis into action.
