Job summary

Siemens on the Gold Coast is seeking a Graduate Mechatronics Engineer to join the Production Engineering team for a February start. The two‑year program builds deep technical and commercial capability, with ownership and strong mentoring from day one.

You’ll work on automation, digitalisation, safety and productivity across manufacturing processes, collaborating with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D to deliver tangible improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering completed.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency.
• Hands‑on problem solving on the shop floor and using data to troubleshoot equipment.
• Familiar with industrial automation, PLCs, control systems or CAD design.
• Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support to advanced manufacturing and production operations.
• Investigate and resolve product and process issues affecting manufacturing performance and quality.
• Design, develop, and improve jigs, fixtures, production aids and test equipment.
• Coordinate engineering changes to products and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation, drawings, BOMs and standard work instructions.
• Analyse manufacturing and test data to identify continuous improvement opportunities (Lean).
• Assist with production readiness activities for new product introductions and automation upgrades.
