Job summary

Siemens is seeking an undergraduate Mechanical Engineer for a part-time internship in Yatala, Gold Coast, starting January 2027 with 16-24 hours per week and a two-year paid program. Eligibility requires Australian or New Zealand residency or citizenship.

You will work on building prototypes of switchgear, conduct tests, and write plans to IEC standards, using programming to analyze data and present findings. Flexible hours and hands-on experience from day one.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Engage in building prototypes of cutting-edge switchgear designs and participate in design verification tests.
• Assist in constructing and testing mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems.
• Collaborate to write test plans based on functional requirements and IEC standards.
• Analyze test data using programming to automate analysis and support engineering judgments.
• Document and present test reports with findings and improvement recommendations.
