Job summary

Aeris Resources welcomes a highly motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join Tritton Operations in central New South Wales. You will work with a high-performing Maintenance and Engineering team to contribute to safe, efficient mining operations and defect management.

You’ll gain practical experience across fixed and mobile plant, reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent. This role accelerates your professional development within a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical engineering degree from a recognised institution.
• Strong ability to analyse data and generate reports.
• Ability to communicate with and relate to all personnel on site.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented with good problem-solving skills.

The Nitty Gritty

Kick-start your career in mining with an exciting opportunity as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, working alongside a high-performing Maintenance and Engineering team. In this role, you’ll contribute to safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining operations through determining defects, managing projects, addressing business requirements and opportunities.

Designed to accelerate your professional development, this position offers hands-on experience across multiple disciplines (fixed plant and mobile plant) within a dynamic operational mining environment. Reporting to our Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent, you’ll work closely with experienced operational and technical teams, gaining practical industry exposure and building the skills needed for a successful career in engineering and mining.

What you Bring:

• Mechanical engineering degree from a recognised institution
• A strong ability to analyse data, and generate reports and maintenance strategies
• Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach
• Ability to communicate with and relate to all personal on site
• Be self-motivated, team orientated with excellent people skills and problem-solving ability
• Australian working rights – either Permanent Residency or Citizenship

The Company

Tritton Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.

Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, weare transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
