Job summary

NextGen is seeking a Graduate Developer to join our fintech software team in Australia. You will work with experienced engineers, product managers and QA to build and improve software used by lenders, brokers and customers.

You will design and implement features, write tests and participate in code reviews while learning CI/CD practices and the development lifecycle. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required, with a willingness to grow in a collaborative fintech

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Basic understanding of web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and RESTful API concepts is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable, secure software under guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with product managers, designers and QA.
• Troubleshoot, debug and help resolve production issues; contribute to incident reviews.
