Job summary

Engine by Starling in Sydney is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to work on real-world problems from day one, building features from scratch and delivering outcomes for global clients.

You'll join a growing team, learn on the job, collaborate across the company, and own projects while growing your software engineering skills in Java, JS/TS, Swift and Kotlin, with Docker/Kubernetes in the stack.

Qualifications

• A recent university graduate or on track to graduate at the end of this academic year.
• The ability to demonstrate that you can write quality code.
• Proven experience working in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Someone who is open to and values feedback to improve.
• Eligible to work in Australia and ready to start a full-time position in early 2027.

Responsibilities

• Build & Innovate: Contribute to our award-winning platform and internal tools. You'll build new features and products in a configurable way, helping to change banking for good.
