Engine by Starling is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer in Sydney to work on real-world problems from day one and contribute to our global banking platform. You\'ll learn by building features from scratch and collaborating with small, cross-functional teams.

This role emphasizes growth, hands-on project work, and a proactive learning culture. You don\'t need a CS degree, but you should demonstrate coding ability, teamwork, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• You don\'t need a Computer Science degree to be a great engineer here.
• A recent university graduate or on track to graduate at the end of this academic year.
• Demonstrate that you can write quality code.
• Proven experience working in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Eligible to work in Australia and ready to start a full-time position in early 2027.

Responsibilities

• Build & Innovate: Contribute to our award-winning platform and internal tools. You\'ll build new features and products in a configurable way, helping to change banking for good.
• Collaborate: Work in small, collaborative teams across the company to own and deliver projects.
