Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Sydney team. This role is ideal for accounting or finance graduates eager to start their career or those with initial accounts experience seeking progression.

You will support the Finance & Accounting team with day-to-day activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing and reporting, working in a global organisation with opportunities to develop skills in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Recent graduates welcome; experience in accounts advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, year-end closings, invoicing and expense claims.
• Maintain financial records and contribute to budgeting and reporting.

About the Opportunity

Working closely with the Finance & Accounting team, you will support a broad range of day-to-day accounting activities, including:

• Supporting general accounting processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Processing invoices, payments and employee expense claims
• Performing credit card and account reconciliations
• Supporting intercompany and internal recharge processes
• Maintaining accurate financial and transactional records
• Assisting with vendor setup and maintaining supplier and banking information
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities
• Assisting with GST reconciliations and audit-related requirements
• Preparing financial reports, spreadsheets and ad-hoc analysis as required
• Providing general administrative and accounting support to the wider Finance team

About You

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised and keen to build a career in finance.

You will ideally have:

• A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• Recent graduates are welcome to apply
• Previous experience in accounts, finance or administration is advantageous but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Confidence working with numbers and financial data
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Professional-level Korean and English communication skills
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn

Experience with an ERP or accounting system such as SAP is advantageous, but not essential.
