Job summary

Ambition Recruitment client in Brisbane seeks an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team. You will support daily accounting activities and gain exposure to reconciliations, payroll support and reporting in a collaborative environment.

Ideal for an accounting professional looking to progress, with hands-on experience across core financial functions. Onsite parking and easy public transport access are available.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' accounting experience.
• Degree-qualified or studying Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA/CPA commenced or intention to commence (highly regarded).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good Excel and systems skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and finance activities
• Bank reconciliations and account maintenance
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with payroll administration
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules
• Processing journals and maintaining financial records
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects
• Assist with maintaining accurate accounting documentation
