Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking an Experienced Grader Operator to join the Capital Works Field Services team at the Paget Depot. You will operate grader, plant, and trucks and perform labouring duties related to road and drainage maintenance and construction.

Essential qualifications include a White Card, HR licence, grader competency with Trimble (or similar software), and proven experience in roads and drainage works; you will also provide instructions to work crews.

Qualifications

• Current General Construction Safety 'White' Card.
• Current QLD Heavy Rigid Truck ‘HR’ Class Licence.
• Current Certificate of Competency to operate a motor grader > 35kw with Trimble or similar software.
• Demonstrated experience in construction/maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure.
• Experience in providing instructions to work crews.

Responsibilities

• Operate grader, plant and trucks and perform labouring duties for maintenance and construction of roads and drainage assets.
• Carry out final trim tasks and tasks associated with civil infrastructure as required.
