Job summary

Moree Plains Shire Council in Moree region seeks a Plant Operator to support road maintenance across our regional network. You will operate and maintain heavy plant, primarily the grader, to ensure road quality and longevity.

You will maintain gravel roads, assist with drainage, and supervise day-to-day site activities with safety and environmental controls. A Class C Driver's Licence and White Card are required, with pre-employment medical and vaccination evidence.

Qualifications

• Safety-conscious and accountable with the ability to organise day-to-day worksite activities.
• Well-developed communication skills for site coordination and safety briefings.
• Physically capable of operating heavy plant and performing manual tasks across shifts.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence and White Card are essential. Desirable Traffic Control qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy plant, primarily the grader, to support road maintenance.
• Maintain gravel roads, clear table drains, and assist with drainage and patching of sealed roads.
• Organise and supervise day-to-day worksite activities, monitor material quality and safety controls.
