Job summary

CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, seeks a Project Management Office Coordinator to strengthen governance, assurance and project controls across its capital works portfolio. You will provide expert advice, coordinate assurance reviews, and support planning and delivery of complex infrastructure projects while collaborating with project managers, executives, and stakeholders.

You will help ensure projects have strong governance, oversight and alignment with regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction management, business or related discipline.
• Experience applying governance, assurance, and project controls to capital works programs.
• Experience using project management tools and delivering capital works projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead, support, and coordinate a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and assurance frameworks for capital works programs.
• Monitor performance, risk, compliance, cost and schedule indicators.
• Coordinate internal audits, health checks, assurance reviews, and gateway reviews.
• Engage external gateways and specialist consultants for assurance activities.
• Develop tools, templates and systems to support planning, governance and delivery.
• Provide evidence-based reports and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies for program-level planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery capability across CSIRO.
