Job summary

Cornerstone Health is seeking a Governance and Safety Manager to coordinate governance, compliance, WHS and clinical incident management across its multi-site primary healthcare network. You will support frontline services and healthcare professionals with robust safety practices to enhance patient experiences.

The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with growth mindset, capable of driving continuous improvement and collaborating across sites to ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in business, law, governance or health.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management principles, incident management and compliance systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, or an equivalent WHS qualification.
• Training or certification in incident investigation, root cause analysis, auditing or ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement and continually improve the WHS Management System, including policies, procedures, safe work procedures, registers, forms and records.
• Analyse incident data and prepare regular reports on trends, themes, risks, corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate quarterly Clinical Governance Committee meetings.
• Maintain the organisational compliance register and calendar.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Governance and Safety Manager to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate Cornerstone Health’s governance, compliance, work health and safety and clinical incident management systems across its multi-site primary healthcare network.
