Job summary

Regis Resources is seeking a Laboratory Technician - Level 1 to support its Processing team on an 8:6 roster. The role involves preparing samples, performing wet chemistry, and delivering accurate laboratory analyses to support production targets in a safe mining environment.

You will work under the Laboratory Supervisor, contributing to QA/QC, equipment calibration, and data reporting while upholding site safety standards and collaborating with a professional team.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good computer literacy and reporting capabilities.
• Strong numeracy, data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Experience with AAS and laboratory analytical techniques will be highly regarded.
• Wet lab experience, preferably in gold mining operations.
• Proven skills with Aqua Regia Digest and Gold-in-Circuit sampling processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geological and metallurgical samples for analysis (registration, rolling, crushing, digestion).
• Perform wet chemistry work including Aqua Regia and bottle roll tests.
• Conduct analyses to established standards and turnaround requirements.
• Operate, maintain and clean laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Calibrate equipment and prepare standards for accurate results.
• Apply analytical techniques including AAS and digestion chemistry.
• Record, report and validate results; support QA/QC.
• Identify and report errors, hazards and equipment issues.
• Maintain a safe, organised laboratory environment; assist with other duties as directed.
