Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia is seeking a Metallurgy Technician to join the laboratory processing team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, supporting processing and gold extraction through sample analysis, quality control, and process improvements while upholding safety and environmental standards. The role is a full-time permanent position on an 8/6 FIFO roster, reporting to the Senior Production Metallurgist.

Qualifications

• Experience in Gold Processing or Metallurgical Labs is highly desirable.
• Current WA Manual Driver’s Licence and ability to attain a National Police Clearance.
• Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Sampling duties and laboratory test work including sample preparation and analysis.
• Ensure testing procedures follow established protocols and standards with reliable, reproducible results.
• Maintain laboratory and plant equipment/instrumentation for continuous operation.
• Coordinate data, information, and reporting for the Metallurgy Work Group.
• Perform routine and adhoc plant sampling for surveys and process improvement work.
• Assist with routine gold room duties such as cleaning electrowinning cells and smelting.
