Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited is seeking a Metallurgy Technician to join the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine laboratory processing team, supporting processing and extraction of gold by conducting sample analysis, ensuring quality control, and contributing to process improvements while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

This full-time permanent role operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster from WA, with direct flights from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Qualifications

Gold Processing or Metallurgical Labs experience desirable.
Basic computer skills.
Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to a fast-paced lab environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
Flexibility and initiative to support multiple tasks.
Current WA Manual Driver’s License.
Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
Permanent Australian work rights (mandatory).

Responsibilities

Sampling duties and laboratory test work including sample preparation and analysis.
Ensure procedures followed and results are reliable and reproducible.
Maintain laboratory and plant equipment for continuous operation.
Coordinate data collection, information, and reporting for the Metallurgy Work Group.
Routine and adhoc plant sampling for surveys and process improvement.
Assist with routine gold room duties such as cleaning electrowinning cells and smelting.
