Job summary

HRM Contracting and consulting – Maroochydore QLD is seeking a Sales & Operations Assistant to join on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The role blends in-store customer service with office and operational support, reporting to the Managing Director and Manager of Operations.

Youll learn gold buying fundamentals with on-site training in stores, then expand to mail-in transactions, administration and daily operations. A small, flexible team environment offers variety and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, retail, administration or operational support.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to use computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Buy gold in-store, including testing and valuing items for customers.
• Deliver a warm, professional customer experience in store, by phone and by email.
• Process and monitor mail-in transactions through to accurate and timely completion.
• Conduct customer due diligence in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.
• Process customer payments through authorised online payment systems.
• Maintain accurate transaction records, spreadsheets and documentation.
• Support store staff with enquiries when management are unavailable.
• Assist management with operational tasks, process improvements and general business support.
