Job summary

Showtime Consulting Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Software Developer (GoLang / AWS) to design, build, and operate secure backend services. You will develop microservices, serverless components, and RESTful APIs in a modern AWS environment, collaborating with architects, devs, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud-native solutions.

Ideal candidates bring strong Golang expertise, hands-on AWS experience, and a passion for secure, high-performance software.

Qualifications

• Golang development experience in production
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience and serverless development
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices using GitLab
• Understanding of NoSQL databases and data modeling
• Experience with Agile delivery environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and microservices using Go (Golang)
• Develop and support serverless solutions leveraging AWS Lambda and other AWS-native services
• Design and optimise data models and access patterns using Amazon DynamoDB
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven applications
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business and technology outcomes
• Perform code reviews and champion software engineering best practices
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artefacts
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production environments
