Orelogy, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join its Perth-based consulting team. The role offers technical leadership across a diverse mining portfolio, with global travel and a focus on safety, stability, and operational performance.

You will mentor engineers, lead reviews, and deliver ground control strategies for both development and operational projects, contributing to client success and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience across mining methods.
• Open pit and underground mining environments experience.
• Lead technical reviews, audits, and assurance activities.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide principal-level geotechnical engineering support across underground and open pit mining operations.
• Lead technical reviews, governance activities, and assurance programs for clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct geotechnical audits, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
• Review GCMPs, TARPs, and support standards.
• Mentor and develop geotechnical engineers and consultants.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to shape geotechnical strategy and value.
• Support business growth, tenders, and project risk assessments.
