Job summary

HSBC is seeking a senior product leader for Global Trade Solutions in Australia, focused on designing and delivering go-to-market strategies for trade finance products. You will lead a small team, commercialise offerings, and partner with regional and global teams to drive innovation and growth in AU/NZ.

You will stay ahead of ESG, digital platforms and fintech partnerships, ensuring product adoption and alignment with local regulatory frameworks while supporting frontline sales and risk

Qualifications

• Significant global trade finance experience, ideally in a large financial services organisation.
• Proven ability to think strategically and drive product ideas.
• Strong stakeholder management across Australia & NZ and regional/global teams.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage a small team.
• Excellent communication, networking and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of product methodologies and end-to-end development.
• Understanding of digital platforms, fintechs and modern trade finance trends.

Responsibilities

• Design go-to-market product strategy with global and regional input and ESG considerations.
• Lead a small team and drive commercialisation of GTS product offerings in AU/NZ.
• Stay ahead of market trends in digital platforms and fintech partnerships.
• Collaborate with front-line sales to implement product platforms and governance.
• Identify gaps in product adoption and work with global teams to prioritise enhancements.
• Build training programs for frontline staff and risk stewards to uplift product knowledge.
