Job summary

Westpac Bank in Parramatta invites an accomplished operations leader to become Director, Trade Service Operations. You will set strategic direction and lead a large, distributed team across Australia and offshore to deliver safe, efficient, and commercially aligned outcomes.

In this newly created role, you will oversee documentary trade, trade finance loans, borrowing base and structured trade products while partnering with senior leaders to drive governance, resilience, and ongoing process

Qualifications

• Executive leadership capability to guide a large, distributed function.
• Deep understanding of trade finance operations with risk & regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to establish governance, resilience and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent stakeholder communication to align senior leaders.
• Strategic change leadership including operating model design and offshore delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and operating rhythm for Trade Service Operations.
• Oversee end-to-end services across documentary trade and trade finance products.
• Partner with senior leaders to drive automation and process improvements.
• Lead transformation and offshore service delivery while maintaining risk controls.
