Job summary

HSBC Australia is seeking a Head of Product for Global Trade Solutions to lead market initiatives in Sydney. You will drive strategy, manage a small team, and partner with regional and global colleagues to advance trade finance propositions.

You will oversee product financials, regulatory alignment, and the rollout of digital innovations across Australia and New Zealand, while collaborating with frontline sales for commercial success.

Qualifications

• Significant global trade finance experience, specifically Structured Trade Finance, in a financial services organisation.
• Proven strategic thinker with ability to drive innovative product ideas.
• Strong understanding of market practices, global trends, digital platforms and fintechs.
• Excellent stakeholder management across a range of risk stewards in AU and NZ.
• Independent contributor with leadership experience and cross-functional influence.
• Strong communication, networking, and solution design skills.
• Knowledge of product methodologies and how to translate ideas into delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global/ regional teams to design go-to-market strategy with ESG/digital trends inputs.
• Lead a small team and oversee product leadership across GTS Australia & NZ.
• Monitor market developments in digital platforms and propose new product ideas.
• Drive commercialisation of GTS products with front line sales teams.
• Identify gaps in product adoption and prioritize enhancements with global/regional teams.
• Lead digital product innovation and best-practice adoption with senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to the annual Technology Plan for Australia & NZ product strategy.
• Manage product financials including revenue and costs.
• Design implementation and governance to comply with local regulatory frameworks.
• Develop training roadshows to upskill frontline teams and risk stewards.
