Job summary

Instant Steel Solutions in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Support Officer to manage the administration and coordination of customer orders from sale through invoicing. You will be the central link between customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure orders progress accurately and on time.

You will handle purchase orders, sales orders, documentation and invoicing, while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales support, order processing, purchasing or supply chain coordination.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple orders.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Proactive problem solving and effective follow up with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
• Create and distribute sales orders and order confirmations.
• Liaise with suppliers on requirements, progress and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate packing lists, documentation and customer invoices.
• Monitor order progress and follow up on outstanding information.
• Communicate changes in quantities, specs, pricing or delivery with traders, suppliers and customers.
• Escalate issues to the trading team when delays arise.
• Maintain accurate order records and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with trading, operations and finance to ensure smooth order flow.
