Job summary

UpGuard is seeking a Director of Global Solutions Engineering to lead the technical engine behind our revenue organization. You will manage Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants across regions, driving the technical win in pre-sales and serving as the escalation path post-sales.

This builder's role requires strategic dialog with executives, deep technical dives with engineers, and hands-on leadership in live customer calls.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and leading Solutions/Sales Engineering teams.
• Experience selling and supporting a technically sophisticated product to technical buyers (engineers, security teams, architects).
• Strong experience managing managers across distributed/global teams.
• Ownership of the technical experience across the customer journey.
• Hands-on mindset and ability to lead high-stakes customer calls.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global, multi-layered team of Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants.
• Drive the technical win in pre-sales with demos, PoCs, and value engineering.
• Own post-sales technical escalation path and cross-sell enablement.
• Stay hands-on in critical customer engagements to set the technical bar.
• Improve RFPs and security assessments with scalable content.
• Enable channel/partner ecosystems to independently implement the product.
• Collaborate with Enablement to maintain training, certification, and playbooks.
• Serve as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering.
• Contribute to forecasting, capacity planning, and GTM strategy.
