Job summary

Hitachi Energy Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Project Manager to lead the delivery of service projects in Melbourne, ensuring compliance with safety, contractual obligations, and financial objectives while guiding project teams from kickoff to close.

The role requires 5+ years in service project leadership, transformer service project experience, SAP proficiency, strong communication, and an ownership mindset. Occasional international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing service projects.
• Experience with transformer service projects (highly regarded).
• Proficiency in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead service project execution in alignment with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices.
• Oversee technical and commercial aspects, including invoicing, cost management, cash flow.
• Formally and contractually close out projects with customer acceptance.
• Manage project‑related escalations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy’s HSE policies.
• Review drawings, schedules, HSE documentation, transmittals, and reports; support delivery with execution teams.
• Travel locally and occasionally overseas.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations.
