The Beverage Food Group in Melbourne is seeking a Part-Time Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to support our growing operations. You will coordinate purchasing, supplier communications, freight arrangements, and inventory replenishment to ensure timely sourcing and delivery to customers.

This permanent part-time role offers flexible hours and opportunities to work with local and international suppliers, negotiate rates, and improve purchasing processes within an ERP framework.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain or inventory management.
• Experience coordinating international freight and logistics.
• Knowledge of import documentation and customs procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities from local and international suppliers.
• Raise and monitor purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Liaise with overseas manufacturers/suppliers regarding production schedules and shipment dates.
• Coordinate import and export documentation.
• Arrange domestic and international freight, including sea, air and road transport.
• Track shipments and proactively manage delivery issues.
• Work closely with warehouse and sales teams to maintain inventory levels.
• Monitor stock availability and assist with demand planning.
• Maintain purchasing and logistics records in the ERP system.
• Assist in negotiating freight and shipping rates with carriers and logistics providers.
• Manage supplier communications and foster positive supplier relationships.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain operations.
