Job summary

HBC Trading Australia Pty Ltd in Regents Park, NSW, is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to manage international purchasing, supplier relationships and stock levels. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years in purchasing and inventory management, with exposure to food manufacturing or FMCG, importing or wholesale.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in purchasing and inventory management.
• International purchasing and importing experience.
• Knowledge of international freight, shipping and transport processes.
• Experience handling import, quality and biosecurity documentation.
• Strong supplier communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisation, follow-up and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to monitor stock levels and manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and follow up outstanding purchase orders.
• Communicate and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers.
• Coordinate international freight, transport and import requirements.
• Organise and review shipping, quality and biosecurity documentation.
• Monitor stock levels to maintain healthy inventory and prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Track shipments and provide updates on expected arrival dates.
• Work closely with internal departments to support stock requirements.
• Identify and resolve supplier, shipment and documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory and supplier records.
