Job summary

Bidfood Australia is seeking an Inventory Officer for our Supply Solutions branch in Girraween. You will assist in inventory movements, maintain stock health and support daily operations to keep accuracy across warehouses.

The role focuses on stocking transfers, expiry risk review, and generating reports. Strong attention to detail and good communication help you succeed in a collaborative team environment while supporting efficient supply chains.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory movements and analysis preferred but not required.
• Analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and motivation to contribute to team goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in movement of inventory via stock transfers between warehouses.
• Daily inventory analysis; identify slow moving items and expiry risks.
• Review expiry reports and monitor stockouts.
• Generate reports and perform administration duties as required.
• Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, admin and other departments in a professional manner.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional to fill the fulltime role of Inventory Officer at our Supply Solutions branch located in Girraween.

About the role:

The role of the Inventory Officer is to assist in inventory movements, conduct maintenance and assist in ensuring that the overall health of the inventory is in order.

Duties:

• Assist in the movement of inventory via stock transfers between warehouses
• Daily inventory analysis, identify slow moving items, short shelf life products, stock rotation concerns
• Review daily expiry reports to identify any issues and monitor out of stocks
• Perform a variety of administration duties as required including generating of reports
• Liaise with the warehouse, purchasing, admin and other departments in a professional manner

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous however not required
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Intermediate computer skills, using Microsoft Office programs including excel and word
• Excellent communication skills and a high level of motivation
• Ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiative to control, manage and continually improve quality of work and efficiency
