Job summary

City of Wagga Wagga is seeking a Field Assessment Officer to inspect civil infrastructure assets, capture asset data with GPS/mobile tools, and keep accurate records in GIS and asset management systems. The role supports asset management, financial reporting and long-term community infrastructure sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience in field inspections of civil infrastructure assets.
• Ability to capture and verify asset location and attributes using GPS/mobile tools.
• Strong data quality and data management skills; able to interpret drawings and as-constructed docs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of newly constructed and renewed sewer, stormwater and related infrastructure assets.
• Capture and verify asset location, condition and attribute data using GPS and mobile data collection tools.
• Maintain accurate asset records within Council's GIS and asset management systems.
• Support capital works handovers by coordinating and validating as-constructed information and supporting documentation.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure asset data meets Council standards.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, supervisors, contractors and operational teams throughout the asset lifecycle.
