Job summary

Bayside Health’s Mornington Centre seeks a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant Grade 2 (IN32) to lead activity programs for older adults in a 90-bed inpatient facility. You’ll support patients with cognitive impairment, including dementia and delirium, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team for meaningful, person-centred care.

The role involves delivering engaging activities, promoting wellbeing, and fostering social connection within a supportive healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering programs to older adults with dementia or cognitive impairment.
• Ability to collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, person-centred activity programs for patients.
• Facilitate individual and group activities to promote wellbeing and social connection.
• Collaborate with Allied Health, nursing staff and volunteers to support patient care plans.
