Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to support a broad mix of residential, transport and infrastructure projects from our Sydney area office. You’ll be involved from site characterisation through design and construction support, with flexible work options and a pathway to develop your geotechnical career within a global practice.

The role requires a Geotechnical or Civil Engineering degree, ~2 years in a consulting environment, and proficiency with OpenGround,

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, project management and client relationship skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with geotechnical electives.
• Approximately 2 years’ experience in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geotechnical investigations, field programs, site testing, and data acquisition.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
• Deliver geotechnical assessments and design solutions for foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, pipelines and slope stability.
• Provide technical review and quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Contribute to preparation of proposals and manage project scope, budgets, schedules and resources.
• Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to pursuits.
