Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join our Sydney/St Leonard’s team, with options for Wollongong, Newcastle or Canberra bases. You’ll work across residential, transport and infrastructure projects, from investigations through design and construction support.

You’ll collaborate on proposals, manage project scopes and client relationships while enjoying flexible work arrangements including work-from-home options, and ongoing training and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with geotechnical electives.
• About 2 years’ experience, preferably in consulting.
• Proficiency with OpenGround, GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Rocscience, CIRCLY and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geotechnical investigations, field programs, site testing and data acquisition.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications and design documentation.
• Deliver geotechnical assessments and design solutions for foundations, earthworks and slope stability.
• Provide technical review and quality assurance to meet standards.
• Contribute to proposals and manage project scope, budgets and schedules.
• Build and maintain client relationships and assist business development.
