Job summary

CMW Geosciences in Sydney is seeking a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing team. Whether you are a recent graduate or have up to 4 years of experience, you will contribute to geotechnical site investigations, analysis and design for infrastructure and energy projects.

You will work on meaningful projects, gain hands-on field experience, and grow with a supportive team in a company backed by Kiwa Group’s global network.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree.
• Ability to complete strenuous fieldwork tasks.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Full Australian driver’s license.
• Desire to work outside with rocks and geology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical and non-technical tasks under supervision.
• Develop technical solutions with engineering and geological principles.
• Carry out fieldwork, data collection/processing, design and reporting.
• Support in progressing all aspects of project delivery as directed.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical and non-technical tasks at the direction of senior professional personnel with support and training when required.
• Work with the technical team to develop technical solutions using an understanding of engineering and geological principles based on experience gained.
• Carry our fieldwork, data collection/processing and design and reporting.
• Work at the direction of senior technical staff to support in progressing all aspects of project delivery.

What You'll Need

• A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree
• Ability to complete strenuous fieldwork tasks
• Ability to travel when required
• A full Australian driver's license
• A desire to work outside with a love of rocks, soil and geology
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
