Job summary

Nearmap is seeking a Solutions Engineer to act as a trusted technical advisor across the customer lifecycle, leading pre-sales discovery and solution design. You’ll demonstrate APIs, AI, and geospatial workflows, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver tailored demos and successful implementations.

You’ll engage with C-suite and technical teams, helping customers maximize Nearmap’s imagery, 3D, and AI offerings while shaping long-term technical strategy and adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in a customer-facing technical role with pre-sales experience.
• Proven track record influencing technical buying decisions and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discovery engagements to understand workflows and data ecosystems.
• Shape client strategy and solution architecture with executive relationships.
• Design and deliver tailored demos and scalable scenario-based demonstrations.
• Identify upsell opportunities and advise on API, offline product, and custom apps.
• Lead integration and onboarding with hands-on technical support.
• Serve as liaison to Product/Engineering and surface customer feedback.
• Coordinate with Survey Operations for custom aerial flights and offline products.
• Represent Nearmap as a thought leader through content and events, mentor juniors.
