Job summary

Nearmap is seeking a Solutions Engineer in Sydney to drive technical engagements across the full customer lifecycle. You will lead pre-sales discovery, solution design, and post-sale adoption, partnering with Sales to deliver scalable demos and strong customer outcomes.

The role requires a geospatial background, fluency with APIs, cloud, GIS platforms, and exceptional communication to engage technical teams and executives. A hybrid work model is offered in Australia.

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency with APIs, programming (Python), and custom web GIS app development.
Hands-on experience with geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
Strong understanding of AI and machine learning in geospatial analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic discovery engagements to understand customer workflows and data ecosystems.
Shape client strategy and solution architecture with executive relationships.
Design and deliver tailored demos showing Nearmap solutions in real scenarios.
Identify upsell opportunities and advise on API, offline product, and custom apps.
Lead integration and onboarding for new customers with hands-on technical support.
Act as liaison to Product and Engineering to surface feedback and gaps.
Coordinate with Survey Operations for custom aerial flights and offline products.
