Job summary

BHP is recruiting for a 2028 Geology Graduate Program. The role combines hands‑on field work with guided learning to develop expertise in rocks, structures, ore bodies and mine design.

You will work with geologists, geotechnical engineers and operations teams across Australia, building practical skills and a growth mindset. The 24‑month program starts February 2028, offering structured onboarding, mentoring and exposure to projects in WA Iron Ore, SA Copper or QLD Coal operations.

Qualifications

• Graduated within the past two years or due to graduate by end of 2027.
• International students with a valid visa are welcome to apply; visa with no work restrictions by Feb 2028.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to resource definition, core logging and sampling.
• Engage in drill program planning and grade control activities.
• Perform structural interpretation and geological modelling.
• Collect geotechnical data and support subsurface understanding.
